There are times when God seems silent and it is natural to wonder what he is doing. We were reminded in this sermon that even when it seems like God has gone quiet - Christ has promised that he would be with us to the end of the age. Joseph reminds us of this fact, as he is captured and sold into slavery.
Reflection questions:
This Sunday we talked about how God seems to be silent as Joseph is cast into a pit and sold into slavery. Most Christians will face a time when it seems God isn't there. Take time this week to write down some of the promises God makes about being present, even in the silence.
What are some of the resources that Fr. Ian mentioned to help you persevere through these times of silence?
