He is crowned with glory and honor

On Sunday, we looked at Hebrews 2:5-9. This passage reminded us that the King of Glory humbled himself and became a man. He left his rightful place for the salvation of humanity.


The pinnacle of the text comes when the author tells us that everything in creation is under the control of the King of Glory. This means that Christ is never surprised by the world's happenings, and even the things others meant for evil, he can redeem and use for the glory of the Father. On top of this, Christ experienced suffering and death; in suffering, he can sympathize with you; in dying, he took away the sting of death for you.
